Why do we even buy Christmas Presents?

I often ask myself this question. The girls always seem to find something that is very mundane, dull, not fun if you will and turn into the high point of their day.

Let the good times roll. Again, why even bother? I should just go down to the local appliance store and dig their fridgerator boxes out of the trash and bring them home. I'm pretty sure that would be just as exciting as any new toy I could bring home. Oh well, that's better than them not being happy. Oh, to be young again and find joy in an empty rubbermaid.
