BEDLAM!

BJ, Tina (BJ's sister), and I met Will (my brother) at Oklahoma State Saturday and watched OSU lose pitifully to OU. Which is a shame because I despise OU, in the nicest way possible because I don't want to act ugly. Anyways, we had a blast! Watched the game till the bitter end and displayed our spirit proudly!

Happy 80th Birthday Papa

I know this is a little late but, Happy 80th Birthday to my papa, Bill Bernhardt.
To a long life, filled with knowledge, love, and family. I love you and hope there are many years to come!

Family Work Day

Yesterday Riley just had to go to work with BJ and I. She has been asking for weeks, but either she can't be with us that day or it doesn't work out for whatever reason. Well yesterday was very pretty and everything we were doing she could be there. So when we picked her up from school she came with us instead of going to my mom's. When we got home she immiediately had to change into her work clothes and boots. Then we worked some heifers, which she was deathly afraid of. Not the heifers but the loud chute. The banging of the gates scared her. She wanted to get in the load tub with the heifers to pet them. Then we put them up, rode the 4wheeler some. Great excitement. We went to Duncan and had lunch, because according to her that's the only place worth going. Somehow we ended up at Arby's, her favorite. The rest of the afternoon she ran around with BJ in the jeep, which to her is the ultimate day. Her little face of joy, riding around in the FRONT seat of that jeep was hilarious. She had a great day hanging out with her parents. I'm just glad she kinda likes us. But at the end of the day when I was picking up the house I found these.
For some reason this one wouldn't load right, but you see what I mean. All our boots by the back door, kicked off at the end of the day.
Just precious. Our little worker.

Beautiful Artwork

Riley is very much into drawing, coloring, and using any type of writing utensil that's available. She drew these tonite and I just thought they were magnificent. I'm not sure who they are, but whoever they are have giant heads and ape arms. =)

A few minutes have went by while I was waiting for the pics to upload and Riley ran in here and informed me that the person with the yellow hair is me and the other one is her. So...awesome.

Cookie Logs

This weekend my mother and I went to Denver to see my brother, sister-in-law, and their new baby avery. While we were there, we cooked lots of frozen meals for them to eat in the next weeks when poor Lindsay is not going to feel like doing anything, much less cooking. Here is one of our creations, which I think is awesome! This is a spin off of  a Lindsay Ebenhack (shoutout) recipe idea. I mixed up chocolate chip cookies, oatmeal cookies, and peanut butter cookie dough. We then shaped them into logs wrapped them in wax paper, then foil. Writing on the foil the instuctions. Instead of rolling individual cookie balls and flash freezing them. Here is a pic of the finished product.

The idea is pull out the frozen cookie dough. Unwrap while still frozen, slice how ever many cookies you want. Cook the cookies according to original instructions, if frozen solid add a few more minutes to baking. Then wrap up the remaining log and place back in freezer. You can make 3 or 30 cookies, whatever your little heart desires.

The unluckiest cat alive

This poor cat probably weighs as much as Reese, but Reese insists on carrying her around like a rag doll. And the cat puts up with it for a little while, but eventually she runs and hides and won't come out until the girls go tot bed. I can't imagine why...

Our new addition-Avery Jay Bernhardt

Billy Jay and Lindsay, my brother and sister-in-law, gave birth to their first child and son Monday November 8th 2010. He is about 5 weeks premature so they are dealing with some issues, but every report from the doctor gets better and better. We are so happy for them and proud of them. Here are some pics of the cutest nephew alive. I just hope my kids don't beat up the little guy later. He will be their personal rag doll someday. But Avery was born at 6 lb 2 oz, so I'm pretty sure he will put the hurt on them when they need it.

A walk down memory lane

I found some pics today on a flash drive I haven't seen in years. I opened it up and this is what I found.

Look at BJ. This was the first year we were married. Doesn't he looked young, excited, and happy! Or maybe like a deer in headlights.

This is Riley in 2006. Reese wasn't even a thought yet.

Riley 2007. A cute halloween skunk.

Riley 2007-Look at that face, so full of mischief and her daddy's stubborn resistance to my authority.

Billy Jay and Will-Xmas 2007

Billy Jay and Riley Xmas 2007-Nice teeth Billy!

Halloween Costumes, Finally!

Riley and Reese love to dress up as princesses. Riley actually wore the same exact costume last year. Riley was Snow White and Reese, according to her, was Cinnawewa (Cinderella).

How could you deny these faces anything?

This is about as cool as you can get!

Reese has always been the picture of cool.

She is quite the teeth shower. She is very proud of her pearly whites and corn stalk hair. Might as well show it off.

My Beautiful Children

I know I am slighlty biased but I am pretty sure my kids are pretty darn good looking. Shockingly they are related to BJ and I. Some days I think they have got all of our bad genes and then some days I see the best of us. Here are a few exmaples to prove best and worst.
Best

Worst

Best

Worst

It really doesn't matter because they always make me laugh, best or worst. Never a dull moment.

I'm Fancy!

Okay people, me and camera are not finding each other. When me and my camera do find each other I will post "Papa's 80th Bday Party" and "Actual Halloween costumes". These are not the kids halloween costumes, just every day dress up that I thought was cute.
