Christmas Recap

We had a wonderful christmas this year. We made the rounds as usual and went to everybody's houses, we even made it to Denver to see my brother and his little family. We stayed a few days. The guys had an ultimate Wii contest. We went to the Denver Zoo, which was really nice. And ate way too much! Here are a few of the highlights of our Christmas's and our trip to Denver.

 The Denver Zoo-Oh what excitement!
The best idea ever! Because Reese poops out after about 17 minutes of walking.
 Doesn't he look regal.

Riley's Chrismas List

This year in school Riley wrote a Christmas list to Santa. Her teacher wrote it down for her as she dreamed up this list.
The funny part is the shirt she asks for that is pink and purple. The teacher told me the next morning when I dropped her off the rest of the sentence. "I also want a new shirt that is pink and purple that my mom won't buy me." Mrs Baker, her teacher, asked do you know what shirt she is talking about? I said, it could be one of a million. I have no idea what shirt she is talking about because she has asked for a million different ones, which I have all said no to apparently. Mrs. Baker decided when she was writing this letter to santa not to add that little tidbit. I was thankful for that. I guess doesn't matter though because Riley tells everyone all our business anyways.
Merry Christmas everyone, try to enjoy it and don't forget the actual reason for the season. Believe it or not, it's not presents, gifts, shopping, food (well maybe a little food you gotta eat right?), or any of that other crazy stuff.
It's Jesus Christ.

Bublelicious!

My friend Lindsay and I went to a Michael Buble concert and it was pretty awesome! He only comes about every two years so we make the trek up to the big city and enjoy a very late night of debauchery. Just Kidding! Her daughter went with us so we had to behave ourselves. The show was great and at one point he stood about 20 feet from us and sang a couple songs. Macy, Lindsay's daughter, got an autographed picture and Lindsay got to touch him, so she says. =) Here are some pics to commerate our trip.

 Oh, Michael

Macy at about 9:30. She took a little power nap for about 30 minutes on Rachael, Lindsay's sister.
THIS GUY! He was standing on a chair in front of me and I literally wanted to throw my shoe at him. He was in every pic I took when Michael Buble got close to us. Argh people!

Good times had by all!

Christmas Parade

I know it's been forever since I have posted. It's been a little harem scarem christmas crazy lately! Anyways, here are some pics of the xmas parade we had here in town. The girls were super excited and a fun time was had by all even though it was literally 2 degrees.
 Before the parade
 Waiting in the car
Somebody tooted, I'm not naming names. (BJ)
A little bit of static cling
 Woohoo parade time!
 Candy
 More Candy
So much candy we had to put it in daddy's pocket
Check out someone's redneck christmas float. Sad thing is they are serious.

 Somebody snuck a treat early.

Towards the end of the parade, which was an hour long.
We told her she got to go to her Madee's and the sky was sunshiney again.

All in all the parade was really good, really cold, and necessary for all children to experience and push each other around in the pursuit of candy being hurled out a moving vehicle.

Merry Christmas Everybody!

Friends Forever

Riley and Reese are very much inseperable most days. Whether that be good or bad. Sometimes they fight all day long and I'm like AAAAAAAAAAAHHHHHHH! But then there are days like this

It makes think of when they are older and they will totally defeat BJ and I. How Reese will beat up that boy or girl who picks on Riley and vice versa. When they are in high school and plot and scheme on how to stay out later. And when they are adults and they cry on each other's shoulder when that special person break's their little heart. And then how to bury that special person out back and make them "disappear". Just kidding (not really). I love my brothers and I hope Riley and Reese love each other through the hard and not so hard times. And this bond is never broken by the craziness of life or that sneaky little devil.
"TAWANDA!" Name that movie

The Willing and the Unwilling

I picked up Riley from school on Thursday and she had made a reindeer hat. When we got home I wanted to take a picture of her. This is the face I got. I tried to cheer her up, but she was very unwilling. So I put the hat on reese and painted her nose with blue nail polish because that was all we had. I got two very different faces from her. The willing and the unwilling. 2 very different children, the same love.
